SELF HEALING THE NATURAL WAY

Hypertension

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, affects nearly 1.28 billion people worldwide, yet almost 46% of them don’t even know they have it. Often called the "silent killer," hypertension increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure. According to the CDC, nearly half of adults in the U.S. (about 48%) have high blood pressure, but only 1 in 4 have it under control. A healthy lifestyle can make a significant difference—reducing sodium intake, increasing physical activity, and managing stress can lower blood pressure naturally. Regular check-ups and monitoring are essential to staying heart-healthy!

Eating the right foods can help keep your blood pressure in check. Leafy greens, bananas, and avocados are rich in potassium, which helps counteract sodium’s effects. Berries, beets, and dark chocolate contain antioxidants that support heart health. Garlic and fatty fish improve circulation, while oats, nuts, and seeds provide fiber and magnesium to relax blood vessels. Incorporating these into your diet can naturally help manage blood pressure and keep your heart strong!

Decreasing or avoiding the following foods:

1. Meat and other animal products.  Stay away from fried foods.

2. Salt – Keep it to a minimum.

3. Caffeine – such as in coffee, tea, chocolate, and sodas.

4. Alcohol – even moderate amounts can produce high blood pressure.

5. Sugar and Sweets, should be kept to a minimum. Replace it with fresh fruits and unsweetened juices.
